TALK KOK.

Growth

I'm standing on the bridge
I'm waiting in the dark
I thought that you'd be here by now.

Oh my god so emo! Haha.

My room is a complete mess, I just woke up (say groggy), and this is totally not a typical post I usually do which is usually something to do with stuff that makes the headlines or whatever or whatever or whatever. But I just got back from a number of blogs and it kinda reminded me on how I used to write during the BFS days. About mundane details about the day that still managed to attract 50 hits a day.

I remember in Sec 2 when I was so obsessed about those numbers, and then now my blog is totally cricket sound but I don't really care. Some people think I've lost so much, but I view it more as a shift of priorities. This sounds so mature but it actually isn't, I still get obsessed over lame shit stuff that actually never matter but I make it matter anyway.

Growth is on everyone's agenda. It's typical cliche to say that I looked at my archives and see how much I've grown. But sometimes I think its the circumstances that turn us into who we are instead of who we are that influence what we do. Haha, sentence thrill rides.

Take October 14 2007 for example (a year ago!). I was talking about getting the Christmas spirit in October! For god's sake's, that was EOY period. I think I must have been really distracted from my exams to think like that. If I were a Sec 3 at that particular circumstance I think I would have thought the same way. Growth? Nah.

How about fashion? In primary six I thought wearing anything from OP, Converse and Giordano was actually cool. Haha. And then in mid secondary school there was the IP Zone/Samuel And Kevin thing going on. And now when I'm sixteen it's Graniph/Topman/Nike. It's just this continuos fluctuation of public opinion and seeking of self-identity that ultimately moulds the clothes you wear.

(When will I be rich enough to shop in the boutiques of Haji Lane!)

Change is peeking everywhere. Don't try to run; its the big black dog that will always catch you.
