TALK KOK.

things are picking up again, albeit not socially. school assignment, church stuff, ayc, a level oral. it's gonna get busier, and i better start to get my life together. i just realised my MSAs are a freaking day after AYC. z. i haven't exactly finished current cts (paper5 for lit) and i'm already checking the dates to my next exams. MSAs (CA2 in vs terms) are coming in THIRTY SEVEN DAYS while promos are in 79 days. aside from these are still pw datelines and chinese a levels. SATs? haha.

ON A TOTALLY SEPARATE NOTE (wrote the following paragraph yesterday without publishing it), just like how some of my friends still buy cds- loving the plastic cover and the nice lil booklet that gives you song lyrics and stuff. I LOVE MY BOOKS. true, books' out of fashion rate isn't really declining as fast as the cds but they will one day. With kindle and all just trying to snatch a bigger part of the paper publishing pie, I suspect by the next decade every body will be on kindle type readers reading instead of carrying paper.

sigh.

i still very much am a paper person. in this age of great technology, i insist on being luddite with paper. i keep a moleskine- even though i have an phone good enough to keep my todo lists and calendars together. i need things to feel beneath my fingers, and for ink to flo. screens don't quite cut it. i'm no technophobe, but there's some things i just need to keep relevant in front of me- amidst the world of increasing memory (512mb ram being the basic ram for laptops 3 years ago and now it's 4gb. that's 8x increase), memory space (20gb was the capacity for entry level ipod classics, now it's 120gb- 6x increase), thinness (just look at the old ipods and the 2g ipod touch today), function (compare old ipods and new ones, the touch ipods do everything from calculate your monthly budget to book plane tickets. the old ones, well, let you listen to music).

lol, my concept of tech is extremely narrow. whatever though, sucks that all the technews i get is apple. or at least what i decide to get. so the point is despite all the super change i still like a bit of yesterday in my everyday.

has anybody checked out this new gossipgirl wannabe that's filmed in reality format? this time its actually real kids with real lives shown on camera. and parts of it are really laugh worthy. like what the heck are some of them doing with their lives; sex and drugs? just a one way street to manic depression. which will end up with you sitting in a psych's office spending 200 bucks an hour. sg boys and girls: live your lives like them if you want, but just don't end up like the people on the papers lately with the labels 20 and deep in debt.

go check it out, nyc prep. rad entertainment.
